Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the Service Manager by ensuring service department operates in the most productive and efficient manner.
- Emphasising the importance of safety and always promoting a positive attitude with our customer relationships.
- Assisting with the management of the service technicians, with good scheduling/planning and appropriate work allocation to technician skill levels.
- Assisting or running “Project Work” that is needed from time to time, including Major Inspection projects.
- At all times fostering a professional and efficient delivery of service that will meet or exceed our customer expectations.
- In the absence of the Service Manager, the Assistant Service Manager will cover the role of the Service Manager responsibilities.
- Meeting set KPI’s of customer visitations.
- Being the link between technicians, parts, and the administration team
THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL REQUIRE:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role and knowledge within the Machinery/Equipment Industry
- Mechanical / Electrical trade qualification
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management and subordinates
- Demonstrates high levels of initiative and judgment
- Good attitude and can do approach
- Good planning and organisational skills
- High levels of oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to operate under pressure
- Proven ability to multitask
- Proven ability to appropriately prioritise
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Sound experience in supervising people
- Competent commercially and IT skills
- Have initiative in planning and execution
