About the role
Viterra have an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent management skills to join our business in an Assistant Supervisor role to be based across the Bowmans group. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including efficient supervision of site staff and promoting the company to Viterra’s stakeholders and the wider community.
Duties
- Effective supervision, direction and leadership of employees and contractors, under the leadership of the Operations Supervisor
- Operational support to the Operations Supervisor with grain storage and handling functions, including staff and systems performance
- Responsible for the administration of safety, food safety and quality documentation
- Assist with operations planning to comply with safety, quality systems and efficiency targets
- Responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of grain stored within the sites
- Support the recruitment, selection, and induction processes across the group
About you
- Proven supervisory experience within an operational environment preferable
- Effective leadership and team building skills
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to accept new challenges
- Willing to undertake professional development and training
- Previous bulk grain handling experience preferable
