Due to a number of exciting business growth opportunities, our Group General Manager (GGM) is seeking an Assistant to support future plans. Reporting directly to the GGM, this role presents a unique and exciting opportunity to support our innovative and progressive leader with the expansion of our national and international operations during a period of growth and change.
This will be a diverse and dynamic role across a broad range of business functions and projects, and we require a versatile and resilient Assistant to deliver results. Enthusiasm and going the extra mile will be highly prized as you take full ownership of tasks and operate in this fast-paced environment.
Your new role
- Providing day to day support to the GGM, including phone calls, emails, travel and meeting coordination as agreed
- Providing administrative support including drafting correspondences, submissions, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for meetings.
- Manage and prioritise a wide range of contact, both internally and externally.
- Ensuring filing and office administrative systems are maintained at optimum performance.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes in order to gain operational efficiencies and improve service delivery
- Represent and act on behalf of the GGM in his absence
- Participate in other projects and activities as required by the GGM
To succeed in this role, you will have
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- You will have excellent computer literacy and be proficiency with a range of software including the Microsoft Office Suite. With the ability to adapt to a range of other software packages and systems i.e. Monday.com, Xero or ERP systems
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral and be able to prepare professional documents and reports with a high degree of accuracy.
- You will be highly organised and have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- This role will require you to work as a collaborative team member. You will conduct yourself in a highly professional and courteous manner to develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including students, colleagues and members of the wider community.
- Judgement, diplomacy, attention to detail and initiative are essential components to complete day to day tasks and to meet strict business deadlines.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and to apply discretion and tact at all times
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and juggle competing demands simultaneously
- Be available and responsive outside of ordinary business hours
- Coachable with a willingness to hone and develop your skills
