Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to support the Head of Specialty. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn and develop a range of skills in a specialised area of the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwriting Support:
- Assist in the evaluation and pricing of specialty insurance products.
- Analyse risk factors and make recommendations based on underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare submissions for underwriting process plus documentation and reporting.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with brokers and clients.
- Assist in negotiations and provide solutions to meet client needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely issuance of policies and endorsements.
- Manage and update risk records in the underwriting systems.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for management.
- No previous insurance experience required however any insurance related studies are highly regarded
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, desired however not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
