Assistant Underwriter

Our Client
Our client is a leading provider in the insurance industry, specializing in in property domestic claims and provide innovative solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of their clients.
We are currently looking for an Assistant Underwriter to join their office located in Sydney CBD, The ideal candidate will be able to work in a high volume environment whilst supporting the Property Underwriters with administrative duties and be confident is learning the key concepts of insurance.
The Role

• Assist Underwriters in the process of renewals and new business quotes
• Inputting data to system
• Liaising with brokers to understand insurable risk and providing appropriate coverage
• Keeping up to date with change in industry regulation and requirements.
• Act as triage for customer queriers relating to their policies.

Your Skills & Experience

• Exposure to insurance or related fields
• demonstrable longevity within the professional workforce
• Given the diverse nature of our clients' insurance appetite, the ability to be agile and flexible in day to day role responsibilities. 
• Ability to work independently an confidently as the Underwriting Team is based in another state.
