Located amongst the rolling green hills of South Gippsland 130k from the Melbourne CBD and 15 minutes from the coast Mccartin's Hotel Leongatha has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional.
McCartin's has been serving the local community and surrounding district (Population 30k within 30-minute proximity) for generations and the town of Leongatha is growing daily.
We are looking for a motivated hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to further grow our family friendly Hotel.
About the role.
Reporting to the Venue Manager you will oversee all aspects of the venue operations, lead and develop the team, maintain high levels of customer service and implement new initiatives to improve and further grow the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working professional.
The successful candidate.
- Have a willingness to be hands on and lead the way.
- Be a calm leader in a busy fast-paced environment and ensure the smooth operation of the venue including guest satisfaction and monitoring staff performance.
- Team player that has previous experience of managing and developing a team.
- Knowledge of the industry trends and best practice in the hospitality sector including all applicable compliance.
- Prescence in the hotel during peak service periods including late nights and weekends.
- Manage the rostering and training for new and existing staff.
- 2+ years of experience as a Manager or Duty Manager.
- An understanding of marketing and advertising utilising all social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Gaming experience essential.
- Current RSG/RSA certificates.
- Experience with POS systems particularly Bepoz is preferred (but not essential).
- Ability to provide weekly financial reports and annual budgets.
