AddressCookie is searching for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager.
With a long-standing history in the Melbourne hospitality scene, Cookie is known for its extensive and eclectic beverage lists paired with tasty traditional Thai food. Whether it's a cheeky knock-off in the city, dinner with friends, or a glass of wine on the fly; at Cookie, we pride ourselves on delivering a distinctly unique experience for our guests. As such, we are looking for someone with the same drive for service and hospitality who will add to our high-energy and fun team.
Being a multifaceted venue, we have many cogs in motion. Our ideal candidate will help maintain the philosophy and values of Cookie as well as contribute to the direction and growth of the business. We are looking for someone who is well-versed in the different roles of hospitality. Someone who is a knowledgeable leader and eager to train and coach... bonus points for those with a love of wine and a thirst for craft beer.
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous management experience
- A high level of revenue and cost management skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experience
- Ability to administer, maintain, and control processes through effective management
- Capacity to motivate, develop, and inspire our fun, passionate, and loyal staff through leadership
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to achieving outstanding sales results
- Skills to mentor and develop staff
- Ability to engage in the local community and liaise with neighbouring businesses
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability

This position comes on a full-time basis, with salary negotiable depending on experience. With work-life balance important to us, shifts will involve a mixture of day and evening work.
