Assistant Venue Manager

The Rocks Mornington is a vibrant beachside Seafood restaurant, cocktail bar and function space. Located inside of Mornington Yacht Club, The Rocks is an industry leader in the Peninsula restaurant scene.

About You 

We are searching for an energetic and passionate Assistant Venue Manager to drive, maintain and improve our daily operations. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Alongside the Venue Manager, lead & support a team of 25+ FOH and 20+ BOH. Lead by example in a hands-on role
• Possess excellent guest engagement and service manner
• Strong organizational skills. Manage our team playing on strengths and weaknesses of individuals & prioritise duties to make the venue, team and guests’ experience second to none
• Have the ability to exude professionalism
• High level of presentation and grooming
• Ability to manage labour and beverage costs in line with budgets
• Building and maintaining rotation of a large beverage menu

• Be provided support from experienced Operations team, established BOH team and Venue Manager

2 years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant or similar position is preferred. Salary negotiable.
