The Associate Accountant/Financial Analyst gathers and analyses financial data to facilitate decision-making and provide guidance to managers within the business. They make financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analysed. This includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.
What you'll be doing
The role will have varied responsibilities:
- Revenue and cost recognition by contract
- Managed Services (MS) revenue accrual review
- Deferred revenue reconciliations
- Backout cost review
- Set up, management and accounting for IT outsourcing contracts
- Contract base movement and analysis –additions and churn
- Pipeline review and deal closure monitoring
- Analysis and review of MS P&L
- Analysis and review of IT Outsourcing contracts
- Engage with Finance, Sales and the MS Business to further develop the knowledge of MS within the business.
- A point of call for MS queries, providing guidance on deal bookings and P&L transactions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in an Accounting role or similar in a large organisation.
- Needs an eye for detail, and ability to follow through something to the end
- Organised and able to keep track of multiple initiatives with the ability to adjust to urgent needs on the fly and refocus
- Ability to take the initiative and ask questions when dealing with ambiguity and be able to piece things together from disparate sources to get an end to end view.
- Resilient and able to deal with time pressures where required.
- A strong team player and ability to handle change
