Our client is a boutique, award winning financial planning firm who has been in operation for over 22 years. They have grown the team to 12 staff with their office located in the heart of Brisbane CBD. With a HNW/UHNW client base, they often deal with complex advice and complex strategies. They have structured their business to allow staff to focus on and create strong relationships with their clients.
About the role:
This is a unique role which will see you take on more than a traditional paraplanner. In this role, you will be acting as more of an Associate Adviser, attending all client meetings and being a second chair to the adviser. You will have your own clients to manage, and will be required to write advice documents along with required research and modelling through Xplan.
Duties:
- Attend new and review client meetings with advisers
- Prepare and produce SOA and ROA documents; often dealing with complex advice and strategies
- Assist with development of client strategies
- Complete research and modelling through Xplan suite
- Work collaboratively with the paraplanning team; peer reviewing advice documents
- Minimum 3 years experience in a paraplanning position
- Relevant Bachelors Degree or tertiary qualification
- Competent Xplan experience (Xtools+, Wealth Solver, and Risk Researcher)
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Comprehensive understanding of SMSF, super, trusts, insurance, investments, tax, gearing
