Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Oversee the GIS team, ensuring effective management and coordination of all GIS Consultants. Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Project Management: Act as the primary contact on GIS projects, ensuring that projects are delivered to a high quality, on time, and within budget. Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate advanced skills in drafting (CAD/GIS), Spatial Data management, and analysis. Provide technical knowledge for reports and calculations. Assist in on-site data capture and utilize custom real-time data collection apps.
- Client Relations and Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored GIS solutions. Represent the GIS team in client meetings and discussions. Actively seek new business opportunities, expanding the client base and services offered by the GIS team.
- Innovation and Development: Stay abreast of the latest GIS technologies and trends, integrating innovative solutions into the team’s work. Encourage continuous learning and development within the team.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all GIS work adheres to industry standards and complies with environmental regulations. Oversee the preparation and visualization of Rehabilitation Management Plans and compliance documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced degree in GIS, spatial sciences, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in GIS, with a proven track record of managing teams and Projects.
- Strong technical proficiency in GIS software and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and business development skills, with an ability to lead, inspire a team, and cultivate client relationships.
- Strong organizational and Project management skills.

Job Title: GIS Specialist
