Our client is on a mission to acquire, build and grow great enterprise software businesses all over the world that have dominant positions in niche vertical markets. In recent years, they were named the #1 fastest-growing private software company in the US and that growth has now extended to the ANZ region. With a strong pipeline of deals they are seeking to hire an Associate-Director to join the team in the Melbourne office to continue to build out their portfolio. This is a rare occasion to be part of a near-ground zero build out of a PE firm in the ANZ region.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key contributor of a lean, high-energy, high-volume M&A team. The core activities will resemble that of a technology-focused corporate development team or private equity firm. The Associate-Director will take on critical functions within the deal origination, diligence, and transaction processes, and will have a measurable impact on the organization. The experience will be unique and rewarding with the hire being exposed to new industries, business models, valuation methods, research techniques, C-level executives.
We are seeking a candidate with 7-10 years' work experience ideally across Investing (PE, Corp Dev, Principal Investment) and training in an Investment Bank, Big 4 or similar. You will have highly developed co-ordination skills and the ability to work autonomously. You will be an ambitious individual with firm career goals and a strong understanding of technology and a passion for the software industry would be desirable. It is desired that this person can be quicky fast-tracked to a director role.
