See yourself in our team:CBA’s Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.
Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) is responsible for optimisation and active management of IB&M’s balance sheet and capital as well as supporting the pricing and origination of non-retail lending across the Group. Active
Portfolio Management encompasses the distribution of risk from the portfolio to the bank, investor and insurance markets as well as adding risk through secondary loan markets where there is an appropriate return on capital.Do the work that matters:The
Associate Director role will drive the active management of the IB&M portfolio. This will include building relationships with bankers internally and with large corporate and institutional investors to identify and execute transactions to distribute risk exposures from the portfolio to other banks and investors. Transactions will include secondary loan sales, risk participations, credit insurance and structured transactions.This role will have to the opportunity to be involved in;
- Lead transaction execution from inception to completion across secondary loan sales/purchases, credit insurance, risk participations and structured transactions.
- Developing relationships with stakeholders across the business as well as external stakeholders at other banks, insurers, insurance brokers and funds.
- Financial modelling including loan hold vs sale analysis and credit insurance analysis on single name or portfolio basis.
- Review, understand and negotiate complex legal documentation including loan facility documentation and credit insurance policies.
- Understanding prudential, policy and risk appetite to ensure that transactions are compliant.
- Working in both structured and unstructured situations to resolve complex issues
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Maths related field
- 5+ year experience in Institutional or Corporate lending, with well-developed knowledge of products as well as capital and risk management
- Proven experience in engaging and building client relationships.
- Demonstrable writing, analytical and presentation skills necessary to build complex structure transactions and prepare exceptional client presentations.
