THE ROLE
Key Objective:
Maximise returns on a risk-adjusted basis for equity, subordinated capital, and complex/higher risk credit investments. Lead or assist in the management and coordination of investment structuring, execution, asset management, project management, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to work delegation and development of Associates or Analysts within the Equity Investments team.
- Lead or participate in initial investment analysis, structuring, and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage projects and lead the execution and analysis of mandated investments.
- Oversee the accuracy of transaction/investment modeling and preparation of risk/transaction review papers.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships throughout the deal life cycle.
- Ensure timely delivery of all fund, investor, and transaction reporting.
- Contribute to training and development of Associates and/or Analysts.
- Provide assistance to the Credit Investments team when capacity constraints are evident.
- Assist with ancillary activities, including recruitment, investor management, capital raising, and business strategy.
Technical:
- Advanced Real Estate and financial structural modeling skills (preferably in Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to execute Real Estate financing and joint venture documentation.
- Detailed understanding of Real Estate valuation principles, construction risks, leasing principles, and taxation impacting investment decisions.
- Effectively influence outcomes and motivate individuals.
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and responsibility.
- Challenge issues constructively to improve the culture and efficiency of the firm.
- Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, construction, Real Estate, or legal.
- Minimum of five years' experience in Real Estate/real assets in settings such as investment banking, private equity, corporate banking, treasury, advisory, or investment management.
