EOI Associate Director - Procurement Transaction and CommercialRPS is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Advisory Services - Commercial and Delivery team in Victoria. We are seeking conscientious and high-performing individuals looking to join our teams providing Procurement Transaction and/or commercial services for our government and private clients.We work on some of Australia's largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the renewable energy, transport, utilities, defence, and social infrastructure sectors. On these projects;
- our Procurement Transaction team manage and lead Procurement Transactions for project associated works and services; and
- our Commercial team develop and manage contracts and Commercial strategies for project associated works and services.
- work closely with RPS senior leaders and our client's senior management to develop fit-for-purpose solutions for supporting the delivery of large and complex, city-shaping projects; and
- contribute to the growth and development of the RPS Advisory business.
- Procurement Transaction methodologies and processes; and/or
- commercial strategies, mechanisms, and contract types; and
- private and public organisations that are frequently involved in such projects.
- a tertiary qualification in Commerce / Finance, Law, Engineering, Project Management, or other relevant area;
- 10-plus years of proven experience in Procurement Transaction and/or commercial management;
- a demonstrated ability, enthusiasm, and commitment to lead and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to work co-operatively with people at all levels to achieve the required outcomes;
- a demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks promptly and efficiently;
- advanced analytical and problem-solving skills;
- excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills;
- an acute awareness of political sensitivities as they relate to major projects, and of the importance of giving due consideration to internal and external project stakeholders;
- the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to multi-disciplinary audiences, including senior executive-level clients; and
- a well-developed ability to manage and grow business relationships.
- As a key member of the local team, you'll use your network and experience to win, plan, and deliver projects in the state, and provide your expertise to support projects nationally as required. You'll lead people and project teams, and mentor our talented team of Advisory professionals.

- Procurement Transaction documentation - develop high-quality transaction documentation that withstands the scrutiny of leading professionals;
- data room management - actively manage the transaction data rooms used by clients and market to exchange information in a secure and transparent environment;
- market engagement - support effective engagement with market participants to facilitate high-quality tender submissions while maintaining appropriate probity and process controls;
- Procurement Transaction administration - actively manage the administrative elements required for a successful transaction, including preparation of meeting agendas and meeting minutes;
- supporting and facilitating Gateway reviews (as carried out by the Department of Treasury and Finance) or other project governance gate reviews, as required;
- Procurement Transaction evaluation - support the evaluation of tenders and proposals by an appointed evaluation team and the preparation of the evaluation report, maintaining appropriate probity and process controls; and
- high-quality outcomes - deliver high-quality, data-driven, commercial, and technical outcomes representing value-for-money, and achieving project objectives.
- supporting the strategic development of fit-for-purpose commercial frameworks, contract types, and mechanisms for project works and services engagements in alignment with client requirements and legal and regulatory advice;
- developing and managing efficient and effective systems and processes to strategically manage commercial and contractual risk, and contractual obligations;
- commercial advice, guidance, and contractual interpretation;

- change/variation management, including claim assessment, contractual drafting, negotiations, and dispute resolution;

- work with the RPS team in business development, seeking new clients and assignments; and
- lead the preparation of tenders/proposals for opportunities aligned with RPS capabilities.
- You will interact directly with our clients to support the delivery of high-quality services and deliverables while demonstrating the RPS Behaviours. Additionally, you will provide analytical and practical project delivery support on delegated elements of client engagements, including:
- identification, endorsement, and achievement of clear engagement and project objectives;
- identification and resolution of key risks and issues;
- management and coordination of inputs and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality outcomes; and
- development of progress reports, briefs, and other deliverables and reporting to project governance meetings.

- Support the overall management of the RPS business, including:
- project management - being responsible for the management of a client engagement/contract by acting as the key client contact and being responsible for project resources, reporting, and the P&L for that project in consultation with RPS commercial, legal, and finance support;

- invoicing - coordinating timesheets, submitting invoices, and liaising with clients to ensure prompt payment for assigned projects, as required.
