The Role
As the Associate Director Event Sales, you will be responsible for developing high-yielding contracts and business opportunities in the MICE, Wedding, Social, and Corporate Meetings markets. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields and the Hyatt Place Event Centre to achieve guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve established monthly revenue targets, with a focus on MICE, Wedding, Social, and Corporate Meetings segments.
• Develop and maintain key account relationships, working closely with the sales team and Hotel Manager – Events.
• Represent the hotel at sales functions and identify business development opportunities.
• Collaborate with the team to review sales targets and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Utilize marketing programs to promote Hyatt's corporate offerings.
• Maintain accurate data on all accounts and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Event Sales, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of competitor products and market trends.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
