The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Consultant or an Associate Director to join our national Specialist Valuations & Advisory team as part of Urbis's broader Economics & Property business unit. This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

You will be:

  • Contributing to the development and improvement in systems, processes and advice to advance the output and efficiency of our work;
  • Supporting business development initiatives of the Business Unit through contribution to submissions and presentations;
  • Developing industry, clients and other contacts, with the support of a Director or Associate Director;
  • Developing an internal presence within Urbis through establishing connections with other Business Units;
  • Undertaking research and analysis to support provision of quality reporting, utilising both primary and secondary data sources;
  • Taking responsibility for training and motivating Consultants and Research Analysts in the delivery of reports;
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management, delivery of projects and client satisfaction relating to projects under management;
  • Providing high-quality verbal and written advice to the team and clients;
  • Contributing to scoping of assignments, and development of methodologies to deliver reports;
  • Responsible for effective and timely commercial management of projects including client, project and contract registration, invoicing, monitoring and delivering projects to agreed budgets and timelines;

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Valuations, Property Economics, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Town / Urban or Regional Planning, Business/Finance or related discipline
  • Economics, Taxation or Valuation policy experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excel skills include an ability to use high level analytical techniques such as Power Pivot Tables & Charts, DAX or Index/Match functions
