Reporting to the Head of External Communications, this 12-month secondment role supports a number of portfolios but focuses on the creation of External Communications that represent the brand in a number of formats.
- Support the planning, advice and execution of the Communication plan including developing and executing integrated communications plans
- Managing overall communications, overseeing engagement activity and triaging issues, resolving them independently where possible
- Providing general communications support and advice to key stakeholders, at times providing strategic advice to executives and assisting with the planning and execution of targeted and / or enterprise-wide employee engagement activities and campaigns
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and organisation, to ensure consistent alignment of NAB’s messaging and communications activity.
- Bring the outside in, by helping to drive business decisions that will build trust and drive change for the benefit of customers, communities and NAB, and by pursuing new, innovative and effective communications approaches.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for telling stories through social media, someone that is deeply interested in news and current events. Our next team member needs to understand the new age media climate and the alternative avenues our news and cultural information is delivered. We are seeking:
- Prior experience in communications or PR preferred
- Outstanding communication both written and verbal, can confidently tailor their communication for different audiences with a strong control of tone and style
- Confidence in handling ambiguity appropriately whether by seeking clarification or working with the available information and your business knowledge
- Creative problem solving, able to find innovative and unconventional solutions through their expertise and navigate their way through obstacles with confidence
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills, is relationship led to understand and manage business impacts / needs to achieve positive strategic outcomes
