This is a business of circa 400 staff who operate across 9 offices within Australia and offer a variety of water solutions to Melbourne Water, Catchment Management Authorities, VicRoads and other state bodies, regional and local councils as well as developers and other private sector clients.
Their Melbourne based water team compromises 25 experts - many of whom you will see at Stormwater Victoria events, at OzWater, at UDIA gatherings.
The reason for the vacancy
The group is growing. They have an expanding project portfolio in their flooding team in Melbourne’s CBD. This is a role suited to someone who can already competently model using TuFlow. You could be based in any of their offices. You'll influence the team nationally.
You
You'll have done this Flood Modelling gig before so you'll know how the average day goes. You know you'll need a degree, experience from a consulting environment, experience with a range of modelling software including TUFLOW, RORB and report writing skills.
Will it suit me?
The role suits someone with between 8 and 12 years’ experience. We seek job competence. It's a senior or associate role with a pathway to Principal and well beyond.
If you're looking for a known brand, there's certainly safety in the brand reputation here.
You'll either be coming from a larger team and looking for authenticity, perhaps a more human connection or you might be moving from a boutique water specialist and be seeking a multi-disciplinary environment.
You won't succeed without TuFLOW experience but that's not the be all and end all.
