Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Educator to join the team and support our critical care areas with education, training and development. This is a part time role of 32 hours per week.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 336 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct. Specialities include and are not limited to: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. The Clinical Educator role will support staff to develop their practical and theoretical clinical skills across our critical care areas - CCU / Cardiothoracic, ICU and the Emergency Department.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Supporting NUM's to achieve Positive Clinical Outcomes
- Facilitating and coordinating ALS/PALS programs
- Facilitating Outcomes of Strategic Planning Initiatives
- Identifying & Analysing Education Requirements
- Developing & Implementing Education Plans
- Identifying Opportunities for Service Improvement
- Coordinating Hospital Orientation for new empolyees
Essential Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Experience in critical care nursing ( ICU, ED or CCU / Cardiothoracic)
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Cert IV in Workplace training & assessment or working towards
- Strong leadership and change management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to working in a team environment and leading a positive culture
- Outstanding customer service skills and professional presentation
- Post Graduate qualification
- IT skills in excel and powerpoint
- Previous educator experience
- Knowledge of National Standards
- ALS and PALS certification
