Overview
Nurses and/or midwives in this role bring a wealth of experience and expertise to diverse healthcare settings, evolving from competent to proficient practitioners through ongoing study and practice. They take ownership of their practice standards, delegate tasks effectively, and mentor junior staff. Additionally, they provide invaluable support to Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers, assisting in leadership, implementing practice changes, and managing various administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the ward/unit/service.

The Penola War Memorial Hospital is part of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN). Our hospital offers a 24-hour accident and emergency service, six beds for medical, post-surgical, convalescent, rehabilitation, palliative care and Transitional Care Packages. The hospital also manages the Penola Medical Clinic, community nursing and in-home support programs. Services for outpatients include medical, nursing and allied health services.

Applicant Information
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
This is a part time vacancy working 40 hours per week and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
