KDH is seeking a Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the leadership team in our Acute Ward. The ANUM role is to assist the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in the overall clinical and administrative management of the ward, deputising for the NUM as required. As such, the ANUM is responsible for management of the ward in the absence of the NUM; providing clinical leadership, supporting decision making, supporting and developing key quality indicator projects/portfolios and ensuring the consistent delivery of Great Care.
To be successful in this role you should possess extensive clinical experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to relate to staff, patients, relatives/ carers and other health care providers.

This position is ongoing part time 56 hours per fortnight.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor of nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated experience as a Registered nurse, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centred approach.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of current maternity care practices and industry trends
