About the Opportunity

Due to an internal secondment, we are currently seeking an Associate Producer to join our Programming team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. There is potential for this role to transition into a permanent position, although candidates comfortable with either outcome are encouraged to apply.

The Associate Producer will play a pivotal role in supporting, coordinating, planning, and delivering the Qld Music Trails (QMT) initiative. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the coordination, planning and delivery of the artistic program as per the Project Brief which has set creative vision, scope and scale and deliverables.
  • Participate in the conceptual development of events through ensuring all programming/artist and venue databases are up to date and collation of information required is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Assist with ensuring budget documents are up to date with accurate information at all times, ensuring quotes and invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Provide a high level of administrative support across all QMF teams to ensure key event information and contractual information is documented and shared.
  • Assist the programming team in the collation of key information to support smooth operations during bump in/out and at the event.
  • Participate in programming meetings and WIP’s (work-in-progress) and proactively document all agendas, minutes and actions.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline OR a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience in events management, arts, and/or music industries.
  • Demonstrated interest/and or experience in the events industry.
  • Exceptional administration skills.
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactively manages time and understands upcoming tasks and communicate with leaders on understanding priorities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite and ability to work with other database, finance and event management software as needed.
  • Collaborator, where creativity, suggestions and ideas are actively encouraged.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and/or public holidays as determined by Qld Music Trails calendar of events.
