Job description

Level D ($156,966-$172,657) or Level E ($201,427) per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed-term position for 5 years, with a potential opportunity for conversion to a continuing position after term.

The Associate Professor/Professor in Sustainable Agriculture will lead the development of new agricultural initiatives that will contribute to the University maintaining and further growing its global leadership in this research domain. Research outputs will have national and international impact that are both scientific and practical; and of scope and scale that ensures trans-disciplinary collaboration and significant industry/government engagement.

The appointee will also encourage an environment of creativity and innovation in the Faculty and engage with the broader academic and professional community to promote and enhance the national and international profile of the University.

The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine is one of eight Schools in the Faculty of SET, and represents a world-class concentration of scientific research, education and product conferring capability, with infrastructure and resources at the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide.

  • Evidence of excellence in research training at the postgraduate level.
  • Excellent personal and interpersonal skills and capacity to work effectively internally across the University community.
