About the role
We are currently seeking a Learning and Development Manager – Early Talent to join our Talent, Learning & Development team in in Sydney or Melbourne. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
This pivotal role involves comprehensive management of the entire Early Talent life cycle, including Programme development, design, strategization, Programme management, and facilitation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and propelling the Early Talent strategy for our organization. They will leverage our existing award-winning Programme’s (Internship & Graduate Development Programme and Construction Supervisor Traineeship Programme) to bolster our strategic objectives, fostering collaboration with stakeholders and organizational leaders to ensure a robust pipeline of Early Talent.
Key responsibilities
- Review and implement the Early Talent Strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and strategic needs.
- Identify skill and capability gaps at the intern and graduate levels, collaborating with key stakeholders, internal subject matter experts (SMEs), and/or external vendors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design industry-leading development initiatives and enhance Programme offerings.
- Engage positively with Early Talent cohorts, their managers, mentors, and Programme Sponsors, providing coaching and mentorship to team members and Early Talent at all levels.
- Partner closely with the resourcing lead for Early Talent to drive attraction strategies and processes to identify top Early Talent, ensuring the selection and assessment aligns with organizational standards.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership to provide metrics, regular reporting and updates on Early Talent.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education or Psychology or a related field.
- Proven experience in talent management, learning and development, and facilitation.
- Strong understanding of industry best practices and trends in learning and development and learning design
- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Programme management experience, including planning, prioritising and delivery of key commitments.
- A passion for developing Early Talent
