WSP Property and Buildings Structures group has a role for an Associate Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Melbourne.

What you'll do
As an Associate Structural Engineer you will:
- Operate in a market-facing and design delivery focused role;
- Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients;
- Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works;
- Project lead work across the design, tender and delivery phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects;
- Ensure timely and quality delivery of project and Structural Engineering work in compliance with relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards - and in alignment with schedules and budgets;
- Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
- Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
- Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers
- Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
About you
The successful candidate we are looking for will have:
- Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering);
- Typically 10+ years' industry experience on building projects (commercial, retail, defence, health and education);
- Technical expertise in Structural Engineering design;
- Well-developed client facing, business development and account/relationship management skills;
- Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery
- The ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
- Understanding of ETABS, BIM, NavisWorks and Revit Structure (advantageous).
