Ato Evergreen Program - Entry Level Development Program

About the Evergreen Program

Work and learn in a cohort of other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. 

Over 12-months, you’ll build skills working across two rotations in the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). 

You’ll received dedicated support from Indigenous Liaison Officers as well as formal and on the job training. Some of the roles you could do include: 

• Client engagement 
• Administration officer
• Client experience officer
• Digital officer

After you’ve successfully finished the program, you’ll receive:

• a permanent role at the next level with a salary of $70,280 plus 15.4% super
• a Certificate IV

When to apply and application process

Applications open from 15 March and close on 11pm AEST 15 April 2024.

• We'll review your application
• You may be invited to complete an online skills assessment.
• You may be invited to attend an online interview
• We'll do final checks for shortlisted applicants, including a security and reference checks.

If you’re successful, you’ll commence with the program in September 2024.

These positions are only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. You must provide your Confirmation of Heritage to support your eligibility within six weeks of applications closing. Please contact ***************@ato.gov.au if you require assistance.

• identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
