Due to an exciting period of growth, the College is seeking applications for the term-time position of Community Development Officer. This newly created position plays a key role in fostering community growth, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability of the College. Reporting to the Head of Community Development, the position supports the development and execution of key programs and initiatives that build strong relationships among various College groups, including current and prospective families, alumnae, supporters, and staff. The Community Development Officer works to deepen connections by coordinating resources and executing events and activities aligned to Community Development initiatives, across admissions, alumnae, fundraising, and community programs.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Organise and coordinate various College wide events, programs, and activities that promote community involvement and strengthen community bonds.
- Provide support to College groups to deliver Community Development initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key College groups, including parents, alumnae, supporters, and staff to foster a sense of community and support for the school.
- Assist the Head of Community Development with alumnae, admissions, fundraising and community programs as required.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for people with:
- Proven experience in Community Development, marketing and communications, project management, event management, or an equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to engage stakeholders across print and digital communication channels.
- The ability to work flexibly including after hours to attend College functions, meetings, and events is required.
