As Lead Audio Visual Technician you will manage the on-site installation team on commercial integrated systems installations incorporating the latest in Audio Visual technologies. You will also perform installation, pre-install testing, system testing/commissioning and occasional service calls. Projects include AV systems in corporate offices, universities, government and public buildings. You will report to the project manager and coordinate with them to ensure that appropriate labour resources are available for each stage of the project and that your team have the right tools, site access and technology for installation. You will also liaise with end-user clients on site and be the bridge between the site delivery team and the PM and stakeholders. A key part of your role will be to ensure that the installation team are safe, productive and motivated and have what they need to deliver an outstanding solution for the client.
Skills Required
A strong understanding of integrated AV systems is essential to succeed in this role. Hands-on experience on projects involving a wide range of AV technologies in commercial environment is required, as is a background in hands-on AV installation work. This would be a good opportunity for an experienced installation technician to take the next step up in their career. Relevant trade qualifications as well as AVIXA CTS or CTS-i certification will be highly regarded.
