About The Opportunity   

Join the Programmed Facility Management department as an Audit Officer, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of maintenance works performed by subcontractors on social housing across NSW. We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills. Based in Griffith, NSW, this permanent full-time role offers the chance for long-term career growth and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community services. This is a great opportunity for a someone with a trades or real estate background, someone that can understand maintenance works required on residential properties. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of the maintenance works (e.g. patching and painting of a wall) on residential social housing to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Providing ongoing guidance to supervisors on necessary processes for maintaining compliance.
  • Ensuring our teams are following internal processes to ensure contractual obligations are met. 
  • Maintaining a comprehensive register of identified risks and ensuring timely reporting.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, project managers, and customers regarding work progress and requirements.
  • Minimizing risks associated with day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with legislative standards.
  • Generating formal reports when necessary to document findings and recommendations.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will possess a high attention to detail and a knowledge of building/maintenance requirements, coupled with excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will ideally have experience in technical auditing within the building industry, along with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Trade qualification/background advantageous, not essential. 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong administrative skills with intermediate skills of MS office Suite 
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
