The Moriac Licensed Post Office is open 6 days a week (Mon-Fri 9am til 5pm and Sat 9am -12pm) and we are looking for an experienced retail person with exceptional Customer Service skills to come join us on a part time basis from Monday to Thursday 9am til 5.15pm.
Being only 15 -20 minutes from Torquay, Anglesea and Geelong, the Moriac General Store and Licensed Post Office is known for its great coffee, delicious food and friendly community minded staff. With our busy post office and bottle shop also on site, we service our local community and also passing trade heading to the great ocean road and Otways. We want to build and grow our business and we need the right person to join us on this journey!

AUSTRALIA POST RETAIL CUSTOMER SERVICE ROLE.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Performing customer sales and service transactions
- Maintaining a cash advance accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
- Promoting and processing a broad range of financial agency transactions through Australia Post's technology systems.
- Accepting mail items for lodgment, and accurately assessing any applicable charges
- Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
- Preparing outward mail for dispatch through – including presentation and the cancelling of stamps
- Assisting with administrative duties.
- Manually sort the mail and parcels that arrive at workplace each day.
What are we looking for? Besides being a friendly, considerate person with a real passion for great Customer Service in a small town, you’ll need to be able to:
- Able to lift heavy parcels.
- Stand up for most of your shift
- Able to work fast and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service and solutions to our customers.
- A friendly, reliable and considerate personality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally, we would like someone experienced within Australia Post Retail outlet however full training will be provided and we are flexible for the right candidate.
- Looking for a long term position
- Police Clearance will be required to work in this role.
