They are now looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as an Automotive Mechanic.The RoleAs an Automotive Mechanic, it is essential that you have the passion to carry out mechanical servicing duties in an effective and timely manner.This is a full time role with annual salary is for $70,000 plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesSome tasks may includeInspect, diagnose and overhaul petrol and diesel engines and maintenance;Diagnose the engine faults using tech 2, MDI and touch book diagnosis;Dismantle engine assemblies and sub-assemblies, repair, adjust and re-fix themInspect parts, diagnose and repair standard and automatic transmissions;ECU Programming, Allison transmission troubleshootingInspect parts, diagnose and repair front end components including power steering pumps and gearboxes;Inspect, diagnose and repair starter motors and alternators;Checking engine and steering oil pressures using pressure gaugesTune engines, check engine oil levels, and changing oil and filters;Check front-end alignments and balances tyres; reline and adjust brakes; lubricate vehicles;Check fuel pressure, Inspect, diagnose and repairing fuel systems on both petrol and diesel;Inspect and repair lighting systems; perform preventive maintenance activities on a regular basis.Inspect, diagnose and repair hydraulic and air brake systemsInspect, diagnose and repair exhaust systems.Inspect, diagnose and repair automotive air-conditioning (AC) systemsInspect, diagnose and repair defects of engine cooling system and maintenanceDetecting by inspection any worn / damaged / defective automotive parts, repair and reinstall them, or replace them;Proficient use and operation of automotive industry tools, equipment and machinery used in testing, diagnosing and repairing;Repair and maintain automotive and mechanical equipment and machinery;Repair and convert left hand drive motor vehicles to right hand drive;The Requirements:At least a Certificate 3 in Automotive or Motor mechanicsAt least 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial workshop settingMust have at least 2 years' experience working with Intercontinental, European and Asian car makesMust have 2 years' experience with Hino motor enginesAt least 2 years' experience with oxy, electric and MIG welding techniques will be ideal
