About the role:
We're seeking an Automation Tester to work alongside cross-functional teams to craft and implement test strategies, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing. You'll work to maintain code quality and innovate our testing processes, designing, building, and managing automated testing frameworks to optimise efficiency and reusability. You'll continue to refine testing procedures, investigate and analyse outcomes, and communicate results to stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to comprehend project specifications and system architecture.
- Craft and implement detailed test strategies, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
- Design, build, and manage automated testing frameworks to optimise efficiency and reusability.
- Execute functional, regression, and performance tests to identify software discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Apply and oversee test automation scripts utilizing leading industry tools and frameworks.
- Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to maintain a high standard of the codebase and test scripts.
- Analyze test outcomes, communicate results, and report on product quality and testing progress to stakeholders.
- Investigate, document, and resolve issues, collaborating with developers as needed.
- Continually refine testing procedures and strategies to broaden test coverage and enhance effectiveness.
- Keep abreast of the latest testing tools, trends, and technologies to infuse innovation into the QA process.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of verifiable experience in Automation QA Engineering or similar roles.
- Proficiency in test automation with industry-standard tools (eg,Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Selenium).
- Experience in Mobile test automation
- Proven capability in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in JavaScript/TypeScript, C# (Bonus)
- Experience with testing web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms.
- In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Expertise in creating comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for extensive test coverage.
- Knowledge of performance testing and bottleneck identification is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
