Job description

Our Story

Avery is about the patient, from the start to the end of our journey together.

Avery Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is a boutique plastic surgery practice located in the heart of Newcastle’s East End and home to Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dr Gary Avery.

We hope to take care of our patients, as we would like to be treated ourselves. With respect, dignity, care, and expertise. Our practice is warm and inviting, and our team reflect this, we help our patients feel comfortable and informed through every step of our journey together.

The Role

Due to the continued growth of our practice, we are looking for our newest Avery Care Coordinator to join our small team of experienced and passionate individuals.

As an Avery Care Team Coordinator, you are the point of contact for our patients from the very beginning and throughout their surgical journey with Avery. You are responsible for guiding and supporting our patients throughout what can otherwise be a daunting process.

You will be connecting with our patients over the phone and in person,  liaising with external providers such as hospitals and health funds, facilitating clinical photos and treatments, scheduling surgeries and managing a busy and evolving appointment schedule. You will have the ability to do all this with a high level of care and compassion for our patient’s experience.

Your Story

You are vibrant and caring, and your previous team will vouch for this.

You thrive on providing exceptional customer service - having honed these service skills in a professional or corporate environment.

You take pride in your work and are committed to being part of a small, and highly efficient, team.

Your excellent telephone skills make people smile when you speak to them on the phone.

You have a positiveattitude, full of initiative. Your favourite saying is "is there anything I can do for you today?"

You look smart, because you are smart. Being a member of our team means that you understand personal presentation is important to us.

You are IT savvy, and know to always look out for more efficient ways to do things.

You are an organisational wizard, and know that ‘time is of the essence’ and accuracy with communication demonstrates respect.

You will enjoy growing and learning in the team, and through our commitment to ongoing professional development and the evolution of Avery.

The essentials

You thrive in a collaborative team environment. You are a big picture person who understands and is aware of what your individual contribution means to the whole team.

Your attention to detail is exceptional.

You have excellent communication skills verbally and through the written word. You will have already researched us; what did you discover?

You have a passion for getting things done – accurately, efficiently and with a bit of pizazz! You understand that the workload may be intense, and this drives you to shine.

What does “outstanding customer service” mean to you? People matter to you, you are calm and kind, and people leave an interaction with you feeling heard and valued.

You have experience with medical software, ideally Genie, but this not essential if you're a fast learner and have proven administration skills.

You are willing to be part of a small, close, and supportive team who trust each other and always put the functioning of the whole team and our patients first.

Salary

We realise knowing what the remuneration is for this role will be important to you, however at Avery whether you are the right fit for our team is the most important element we are looking for. Your experience will dictate what we are prepared to offer you, the unique individual you are.

So our first goal is to look at whether you are right for Avery (and vice versa whether Avery is right for you!), and then explore what remuneration package reflects your experience to date and expectations for the future given the role.

We are unable to provide any further details regarding remuneration until we meet you at the first interview and decide if you are the one for us, so we request not calling or emailing about this in the meantime.

 Does this sound like you?

Next steps:

Take a look at our website – averyplasticsurgery.com.au - and see if you can see yourself joining us.

Apply by clicking through the Seek link below and provide your resume and a cover letter responding to "The Essentials" and sharing with us why you make the perfect fit for this exciting role in our clinic. We will be unable to consider applications that do not provide a cover letter. A great well-thought-out cover letter will give us an indication of how interested you are in the role and if you have the administration skills required to cope with the requirements of the role.

There will be a paid trial (up to 4 hour) prior to any offer of the role so that you can see what being part of Avery looks like, and so we can also see if you will be a good fit for our team.

Finally

We are privileged to receive hundreds of applications for roles at Avery when we advertise, so we recommend making yours stand out (consider this your opportunity to make a fabulous first impression). When we see an amazing one, we will contact you ASAP.

Good luck!
