About the role
Sydney Airport is undergoing a major transformation, investing billions into our infrastructure to provide an outstanding experience for our passengers. Our ambition is to become the preferred gateway and most connected airport in Australia, through service, efficiency, and innovation. Join us and play a crucial role in this exciting journey.
We are looking for an experienced Aviation Product & Continuous Improvement Portfolio Manager to join our team. This role is essential in identifying and implementing projects that improve the passenger experience at Sydney Airport.
*This is a 24-month fixed term opportunity
What you'll do
- Scope and deliver Aviation Product and Continuous Improvement projects that enhance the passenger experience.
- Ensure projects are completed following Sydney Airport’s governance standards.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all projects meet the highest standards.
- Develop and monitor project milestones, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Prepare and oversee key reports, business cases, and documentation.
- Manage project budgets and financial reporting.
- Monitor and track risks, actions, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary.
- Introduce new products into operations, including managing trials and testing feasibility.
About You:
- Over 5 years of experience in project and program management.
- Proven experience in strategy implementation and stakeholder engagement in large projects.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Experience managing a broad portfolio of work through to completion.
- Proficiency in using various tools to support and monitor team progress.
- Ability to thrive in a complex and matrixed organisation.
- Experience with projects involving significant technology integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You may have a degree in business, aviation, or a related field, although this is not essential.
