The Credit Cards Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Credit Cards business. We consist of squads that look after the development of the credit card products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio, our loyalty program and end-to-end process improvement. In the Use my card Squad, our purpose is to drive portfolio management objectives through the identification, development and implementation of credit card portfolio management initiatives designed to drive profitable market share growth.

Working in the Use my Card squad, this Product Manager/Senior Product Manager role is a pivotal role to the success of the squad. You will report to the Chapter lead who will support you with your performance and development. You will join an engaged and customer obsessed squad, with your primary focus supporting the Product Owner in shaping our credit card In-life strategy, enhancing customer experiences and driving business growth.
The role will work closely with key credit card stakeholders such as technology, marketing, risk and analytics to lead programs to optimise the credit card portfolio’s balances, spend and usage, instalments, migrations, retention, cross-sell and development of customer lifecycle strategies that deliver the right offers and messages to key customer segments to increase engagement.
There are 2 exciting openings - one for a Senior Product and one for a Product Manager – These impactful and high visibility opportunities sit within one of the biggest credit card portfolios in Australia.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Product strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the Credit Cards product line strategy from solution development through to delivery
• Product development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and concept development to launch
• Customer experience: Continuously improve the customer experience by reviewing and enhancing product features, benefits and digital experience
• Financial performance: Manage the financial performance of the credit card portfolio, optimising revenue and profitability
• Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams, including finance, marketing, compliance, technology and distribution to ensure seamless product delivery
• Compliance: Ensure that credit card products comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and assist with regulatory responses
• Performance Analysis: Analyse product performance, KPIs and customer complaints to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth

We want to hear from you if you have:

• Strong cards product knowledge is preferred, experience managing banking products highly regarded
• An understanding of credit card profitability drivers, customer behaviour and end to end processes achieved by working within the credit card industry.
• Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, execute initiatives at pace that drive business value
• Detailed understanding of Credit Card best practise portfolio techniques used for balance build and spend optimisation.
• Advanced interpersonal communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to progress multiple initiatives concurrently
• Demonstrated experience in marketing and campaign management.
• Strong project management skills, including ability to progress multiple projects at the same time.
• Financial numeracy, analysis and modelling.
• Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment
• Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions
• Risk Mindset –All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
• A tertiary degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting or related discipline highly regarded.
