Martin-Baker Australia is the leading Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrade organisation for the world's most advanced Ejection Seats. We operate 2 sites within Australia, Williamtown in NSW and RAAF Base Pearce in WA. We provide maintenance services, training services and supply of spares for Ejection Seats and Crashworthy seating systems to Defence and civilian organisations in Australia and around the SE Asian region.
Martin-Baker Australia maintains accreditation to the DASR Part 145, ISO9001 and AS9110 standards.
Martin-Baker Australia is seeking to recruit an Aviation Quality and Safety Assistant working with the Quality and Safety Manager to assist in maintaining their accreditations.
The responsibilities of this role include the following:
- In collaboration with the Responsible Manager, maintain currency and applicability of the Martin-Baker Australia DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Work closely with team members to champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across Martin-Baker Australia operations and sites.
- Assist the Quality and Safety Manager providing a quality feedback reporting loop to ensure proper and timely corrective action is taken in response to any audit actions.
- Assist the Quality and Safety Manager in the conduct of internal audits.
- Liaison with the Martin-Baker Aircraft Company Quality organisation to ensure alignment to appropriate parent company requirements.
- Support of our logistics responsibilities.
No previous experience is necessary for this position, but it is preferred. Any gaps in training will be provided and this will include nationally recognised qualifications.
The following qualities would be advantageous in securing this role:
- Work Health and Safety qualifications and/or experience (Desirable)
- Diploma of Quality Auditing or Lead Auditor qualifications and/or experience (Desirable)
- A strong interest in aviation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage and communicate.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to SECRET level.
Our work pattern is a 38 hour week with a 9 day fortnight if desired. There is no requirement for overtime or weekend work. The support of audit requirements at our other locations will require some travel from time to time.
