Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Avionics to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
- Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
- Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
- Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;
- Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.
The essential requirements
- Cert IV Aeroskills (Avionics) with 4 year’s experience
- Australian citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 Australian Defence security clearance (visit AGSVA website for more information about Security Clearances)
- AOD test prior to commencement of contract
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Can do attitude
Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday day shifts.
