Paddock Bakery is a highly successful café and bakery originating in Burleigh Heads QLD, famous for their wood fired sourdough, 1kg cookies and “cruffins”. Paddock Bakery is the Gold Coast’s best and most awarded café for breakfast and lunch. Already with over 100k followers on Instagram, Paddock Bakery is looking to take Greater Geelong by storm and become a world-class destination within the historical Federal Mills precinct. 

The heart and soul of Paddock Bakery is our hand-built red brick wood fire ovens. This is where it all started, and we are excited to keep the flame alive into our new venue. All we need now is a passionate, energetic team to bring their creative flair and assist with the opening and development of the business. Paddock Bakery is looking to open their Geelong bakery in April 2024.

The roles:

Baker -  seeking an experienced Baker for a full-time position working 5 days a week (will include weekends) starting at 3.30am. Will be working closely with our Head Baker.

Pastry Chefs - seeking two creative Pastry Chefs for full-time positions working 4 or 5 days a week (including weekends), with rotating start times between 5.30am and 7.30am.

Key accountabilities:

• Mixing, shaping and baking high quality baked goods to meet customer demand
• Operating, cleaning, and maintaining all tools and equipment
• Implementing quality control to ensure a high standard of product
• Sound knowledge of all aspects of food safety and hygiene

About you:

• 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Trade qualified
• Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment and machinery
• Able to work with minimal supervision at times
• Excellent time management skills
• Drivers license and own vehicle
