Legal Admin needed – full-time hours temporary 4-6 week contract

This temporary position will be providing high level secretarial and administrative support to legal practitioners working within the Public Sector.
Your new role
The position contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the department in a team environment by the provision of administrative, reception, word processing and clerical support to legal, administrative and clerical staff.
- Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient and effective delivery of the department's services including the opening of criminal files, preparation and compilation of court and other legal documentation and filing documents with the Court.
- Undertake word processing, transcribing of audio material, preparation of legal correspondence and document production duties of a highly confidential nature to a high standard.
- Undertake data entry including the updating and maintenance of the legal practice database, and utilise the legal database tools for preparation of documentation.
- Provide personal and telephone reception facilities of a high quality ensuring sensitive and confidential handling of enquiries, including attending to public enquiries, liaison with complainants and witnesses, the legal profession, courts and police.
- Provide support to other areas within Crown Law as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be an experienced receptionist in a busy environment. A background working as a receptionist in a legal environment will be highly regarded.
You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and a proven track record of excellent customer service.
You will have excellent time management skills, outstanding attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. You’ll have a high level of initiative, be able to prioritise competing demands and work well under pressure. Exposure to VisualFiles will be highly regarded.
