Traffic Management | $48.75 - $55 per hour + Super | Initial 4-month contract + Extension Possibilities

They are looking for a Road Corridor Permit Assessor to assist with the coordination of temporary traffic management schemes.

Your new roleYou will provide technical support to the organisation and stakeholders on temporary traffic management matters in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Additional accountabilities:

• Investigate, assess and approve applications for activities within the Road Corridor
• Negotiate and liaise with government agencies regarding planning, approval and coordination of Road Corridor applications
• Provide written and oral advice on traffic matters that conforms to Queensland Government’s Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 and is in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Queensland Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, Heavy Vehicle National Law and Council's Local Laws

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you have qualifications in a technical or professional discipline relevant to the position. Furthermore, you have experience in the principles of traffic management, road safety, and driver behaviour.

Additional qualifications:

• Sound knowledge or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the Queensland Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Queensland Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, Transport Road Use Management Act, Heavy Vehicle National Law and relevant Council Local Laws.
• Ability to coordinate traffic management arrangements for Road Corridor applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, negotiation, conflict resolution, and financial reporting
