The opportunity:This large, national law firm has one of the most well regarded banking practices in Australia working across a mix of major bank, e-commerce and financial services providers providing you with a varied and interesting mix of regulatory banking work.
About the role:
The team is now seeking a lawyer to join the firm's financial services (regulatory) group to focus on a mix of financial services advisory work including development of new products (including payment facilities and prepaid cards), advice on the consumer credit regime, privacy, AML/CTF, personal property security and regulator negotiation and compliance.

About you:
To be considered, you will have 2-5 years post admission experience within a law firm or in-house legal function working on regulatory banking work though candidates with transferable skills ideally in corporate or banking regulatory work will be considered. Key to your success in the role will be your excellent drafting skills and a high attention to detail. You will also be confident in working relatively autonomously and in delegating to juniors in the team.
You will possess exceptional communication skills and have the ability to foster strong client relationships.
