About the role
The Banking and Finance team maintains a highly skilled practice that produces loan and security documentation for private and institutional lenders across Australia and is one of the largest in the country.
We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join this dynamic group on a full time, 12 month contract basis.
As part of end to end file management within the residential new lending team, responsibilities include:
- assessing instructions and preparing mortgage documentation
- checking signed mortgage documentation and ancillary requirements
- preparing lender's certifications
- liaising with clients, solicitors, funders and external parties
- arranging settlements (paper and PEXA)
- preparing accounts' paperwork and settlement instructions
- finalising registration
- ensuring security documentation is returned to the relevant trustee within service levels
About you
You will have a strong customer service focus, meticulous attention to detail and be energised by multi-tasking to meet deadlines. You will have a keen interest in the Banking and Finance sector and have proven ability to manage a busy and challenging workload.
Skills and Experience
- minimum 2 years' experience as a Property or Banking Paralegal
- exceptional client relationship skills
- meticulous attention to detail and organisation skills
- enjoy working with structure, processes and procedures
- proven ability to manage files end to end
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- proactive and flexible work approach, including being a team player
- drive to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
