The Role:
The Bar Manager is responsible for the development and management of the restaurant's bar program in line with The Bentley Group vision. The role is responsible for the guest experience, people management and controls within a bar operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day bar operations;
- Responsible for the effective development (product knowledge, job related task performance) of team members across all levels to meet and exceed business objectives through individual and team performance;
- Responsible for the legal compliance in relation to bar operations;
- Responsible for adhering to effective stock management processes including but not limited to; ordering, receipting, storing (including best practice cellar management) and stock rotation;
- Responsible for establishing effective cost control practices across bar operations;
- Responsible for consistency in people practices across bar operations through mentoring, coaching and capability building;
- Responsible for implementation of any brand partnership agreements;
- Responsible for execution of established customer service and product standards;
- Responsible for the development and implementation of cocktail beverage changes including recipes, menus and staff training;
- Provide input into new beverage offerings through product tasting and feedback sessions.

Qualifications and Contemporary Knowledge:
- Experience working in a high end guest experience environment;
- 18 years or older with a valid RSA licence and grounded product knowledge
