The venue
- We are Located in Morisset, 111km north of Sydney and 45 kms south west of Newcastle
- Licensed for 120 people, open 7-days from midday
- Home to Yard Kings Brewing Co. (20hL brewhouse)
- The onsite smokehouse is serving up a mouth watering low ‘n’ slow menu
- Live music every weekend
The opportunity – Bar Manager
Incredible opportunity for an experienced Bar Manager to join a fun team with huge potential. You’ll be offered a 4-day work week (Thursday – Sunday) and are guaranteed one weekend off a month.
You’ll be supported and guided by the owners, but will ultimately have full responsibility over the bar, its day to day operations and the bar team. A love for all things beer, customer service and can-do attitude will see you succeed in this role. You have the skills and confidence to work independently, but also love to work collaboratively as part of a team.
What's the gig?
- Management of the bar
- Cost control, labour management, KPIs/targets
- Hands-on management & training of casual staff, instilling an incredible culture of teamwork and trust
- Working closely with the GM to establish operations and customer service running like a dream
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and comfortable diffusing customer conflict and difficult situations
- Strict compliance with liquor licensing, council regulations, food safety, WHS and other relevant legislative instruments.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 2 years of previous management experience
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- The right to work permanently in Australia
