Barista/Café Attendant
Part Time - Monday to Friday
Following our recent opening and overwhelming support from our community. Shepparton Access is expanding, and our EcoCafé, with a difference is looking for a Barista/Café Assistant to join our amazing team.
EcoCafé Enterprises is a Social Enterprise of Shepparton Access all abilities Learning and Lifestyle Hub.
Our aim is to provide an inclusive space where all members of the community can gather, while people with disabilities are given opportunities to work and connect.
You will work alongside our participants as they learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, enabling pathways to employment.

Eco Café Ent. joins EcoStore and EcoPark as initiatives of Shepparton Access. These provide educational, social and wellbeing opportunities that enhance participant engagement and independence.
This is the role for you if;
- You are looking to add a deeper purpose and meaning to your industry experience.
- Are interested in mentoring both customer service and specialty coffee making skills alongside people with disabilities in a café environment.
- You are passionate and love interacting with customers.
- Have a bright, bubbly and energetic personality.
- Have worked as an all-rounder or similar in a café environment, not just behind a coffee machine.
The Role
We are looking for an upbeat, motivated, compassionate, and creative individual to join our friendly and supportive team.
To be considered you will need to have:
- Passion about coffee
- Experience (or willingness to learn) to consistently brew to recipe and serve well-presented coffees.
- Previous hospitality experience in a café environment.
- Ability to mentor and provide person centered supports to people with disability.
- Great people skills and ability to remember names and faces of our regular clientele.
- Great work ethic, initiative, a positive attitude and be willing to make a valuable contribution each day.
- Ability to work both individually and part of a positive team culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Food Handling certificate
- Disability worker screening check or willingness to obtain.
- Working with children check or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
