Part of the CSR family, our Construction Systems Business Unit comprises of Cemintel™ Fibre Cement Systems, CSR Hebel and AFS Walling solutions. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems that cover internal linings, residential and commercial façades, flooring, and innovative proprietary wall and framing systems. We are a high growth business area, with the desire to continue to build solutions.
About the role:
The BDM - Commercial is a full-time position, based out at our Narangba site in QLD.
Reporting to the Commercial Segment Manager this role is responsible for continuing the focus on growing Construction Systems share in the QLD market, while identifying and facilitating business growth opportunities with direct and non-direct key customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Grow the QLD Commercial, Highrise Residential Apartments, Civil, Industrial (Basement, retention) Tier 1 /2/ 3 Commercial builders customer base for AFS, Hebel & Cemintel products in line with current YEM budgeted figures.
- Grow share of customer / project, channel loyalty not on product sales but through share of business across CS Business Units.
- Identify, scope, and develop new opportunities in Commercial, Civil & Industrial segments.
- Maintain customer base and implement plans to support project pipeline within the commercial, apartment development and Civil, Industrial infrastructure segments.
- Ensure the effective handover of specified projects and complete the conversion to the sale.
- Support sales and marketing teams in gaining market insights.
- Target suitable CS opportunities within in the QLD apartment space.
- Build rapport and insights with key customers, other CSR divisions.
- Develop and implement growth plans with key customers that result in continuous share growth of customer across the product portfolio. • Ensure CS are aware of competitor activities (pricing, channel to market, agreement support)
About You:
- Building & Construction experience/qualifications preferred.
- A minimum 5 years of proven sales experience
- An ability to drive primary sales growth at a project and customer level and through established contacts, be able to influence and negotiate commercial outcomes that secures growth.
- An ability to manage channels to market, namely contractors and ensure geographic installation and supply capability matched demand.
- An ability to build productive partnerships with individuals and groups across the business and external to the business.
- An ability to interpret technical elements of products and provide support to customers and contractors.
- An ability to interpret architectural & structural plans and drawings.
