Our client is a well established business providing sealant and waterproofing products to applicators / corkers / tilers/ building & construction sectors. They provide innovative and reliable products to the industry and offering support services to thier clients.
They offer excellent training and support and through continued growth are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Sydney.
The Role
In this autonomous role, as the Business Development Manager / Sales Representative, it will be your responsibility to secure new clients whilst maintaining current clients and maximizing growth opportunities. There is also the scope to develop further wholesale / distributor partners as part of your remit.
This role is both business development and account management. Your responsibility will be to continue to build their client database by generating leads and opportunities with both new and existing customers. The key to success in this role is your strong relationship building skills and understanding of the industry.
Your tasks:
- solution sales - advising on the technical specifications of the products to meet the customers needs, according the construction / waterproofing project requirements.
- specifying for work
- business development and account management
- growing the business by seeking leads and building relationships with builders, project engineers, architects and applicators, builders, developers and the like
- achieve sales targets / budgets and revenue kpi's
- diary and call cycle management of existing accounts, whilst seeking new business opportunities
- provide relevant Sales Reports to management
- liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- minimum two years experience in a similar role
- ideally you will have an existing network within the sector and excellent technical knowledge of waterproofing materials / sealant products - highly advantageous
- demonstrated experience of lead generation, creating and closing opportunities
- demonstrated ability to meet your kpi's
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- accuracy when working with quotes
- high attention to detail
