UON’s business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON’s Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.
The solutions are standardised and engineered to solve the safety, financial, logistical, and environmental challenges of clients large and small.
UON is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Electrician to join our Production team at UON’s Malaga Facility in the below conditions:
- Working hours: (6am - 2.30pm)
- Working location: Malaga
- Enclosed Workshop
- Family orientated business
- Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
- Manufacturing, repair and modification of UON products as required - to customer specification.
- Assembly, point-to-point wiring, repair and modification of UON products as required
- Providing training/mentoring to TA's and apprentices.
- Interpret electrical schematics and General Arrangement diagrams
- Testing and fault-finding of UON products using appropriate testing equipment
- Installation and commissioning of UON products as required
- Ensure electrical equipment is tested and tagged correctly in line with applicable legislation
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to HR, QA, HSE and other relevant systems
- Working knowledge of applicable standards including AS3000/3008/3010/3019/3760.
Skills & Experience:
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical at all times
- A Grade Electrical License (preferable)
- WA Electrical License
- Valid driver’s license
- Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Training within 12 months of conclusion date
- Cardiopulmonary Perform Resuscitation (CPR) Training within 12 months of conclusion date
- Excellent HSE compliance and ability to work unsupervised
- Preferred:
- Experience within a workshop/product assembly environment
- Experience in the mining and resources industry
- Experience in control panel/Motor Control Circuit wiring.
