Astute Therapy Solutions offers person-centred and flexible therapeutic support to individuals and their families, service providers, Allied Health Professionals, and community members to enhance the choice, social inclusion and quality of life for people living with a disability. We work in partnership with people with disability, their families and support networks to deliver a range of specialist services.
Qualifications & experience
- Allied Health Practitioner (Developmental Educator, Social Worker, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or other Allied Health)
- Full membership with their registering body
- Met the suitability requirements as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
Tasks & responsibilities
- Enhance the capacity of people to make their own life choices and increase their independence.
- Ensure all PBS practices and interventions are compliant with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards, NDIS Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support Rules 2018, Services Agreement and Everyday Independence’s Code of Conduct.
- Use research evidence and professional reasoning when recommending the most appropriate PBS therapy strategies, duration, location, and timing.
- Approach risk in a positive way to achieve quality of life outcomes, whilst ensuring that safeguards are in place to maximise the rights of people and protect the most vulnerable.
